Influences

I listen to many different players on many different instruments. I would say that I’m mainly influenced by saxophone players and trumpet players who play saxophone type lines. I’m influenced and get inspiration from Charlie Parker, John Coltrane, Sonny Rollins, Joe Henderson, Wayne Shorter, Evan Parker, Michael Brecker, Dave Liebman, Miles Davis (all periods!) Kenny Dorham, Booker Little, Freddie Hubbard, Woody Shaw, Kenny Wheeler,Tim Hagens, Bill Evans, Herbie Hancock (all periods!) Chick Corea, McCoy Tyner, Ron Carter, Charlie Haden, Dave Holland, Pat Metheny, John Scofield, Tony Williams, Elvin Jones, Jack DeJohnette, Billy Higgins, Billy Hart to name a few!!
